SMARTPHONE NEWS

If you are one of the optimists still unwilling to believe the growing science about the dangers of mobile phone radiation, then it is worth taking a couple of steps back and asking: how has our health evolved since the widespread use of mobile phones?

- Smartphones began to be used in a big way in 2007, and in the 13 years since we all became addicted to the little things, the exponential decline in neurological health in technologically advanced countries has been staggering:

- Death from Dementia among women has increased over 600% and
- Incidence of Autism and ADD in children has increased from 1 in 500 in 2007 to 1 in 25 in 2019.

Although the experts agree that this shocking trend is due to a combination of mobile phone radiation with the aluminum & other toxins in our air from geoengineering and our increasing exposure to endocrine disrupting chemicals, pesticides and herbicides, it is mobile phone radiation that seems to be the main culprit, as it deactivates critical detoxification enzymes and so makes the effect of all other toxins so much worse.

The pathways of action of the microwave radiation used in 2G, 3G, 4G that lead to neurological and DNA damage have been clearly identified and demonstrated in literally thousands of peer-reviewed scientific studies, however shockingly, mainstream media and even so called independent newspapers such as the British 'Guardian' continue to spread the PR blurb from telecom giants that wireless radiation and Wifi are quite safe - in the hope that nobody will bother to read any actual science.

Literally thousands of independent scientists agree that mobile phone radiation activates ‘voltage gated calcium channels’ (VGCC’s) present in the walls of all our cells and floods the cells with excess calcium, causing a chain reaction of severe oxidation and DNA damage. (source: Professor Martin Pall) This cascade of damage has already been linked in multiple peer-reviewed clinical studies to Autism, ADD, Altsheimers, Depression, Parkinsons, MS, Heart Failure and Cancer.

As far back as 2006 Professor Ole Johannsen (Professor Emeritus at the Karolinsky Institute in Sweden) found a direct correlation between exposure to cellphone radiation and Altsheimers disease. – When his study was published, the cellphone industry threatened to withdraw their funding to the Karolinsky Institute if he did not resign.

A scientific study on mobile phone electromagnetic radiation (EMR) in Turkey exposed rat embryos in-utero to 'accepted levels' of ambient mobile phone radiation deemed by all mobile operators to be safe, for 15 mins /day for just 7 days. Once these rats were born and grown they had to run a maze to find food, and their performance was compared to another group of rats of the same age who had not been exposed to any EMR in utero at all: The exposed rats took 3x longer to complete the maze and find the food and made over twice as many mistakes as the unexposed rats. A similar study was carried out at Yale University on mice, comparing mice that were exposed in-utero to ambient levels of EMR (Electro Magnetic Radiation) deemed safe by mobile phone operators - to mice than were not exposed to any EMR at all. From childhood onwards all the exposed mice became hyperactive and had significantly worse memories as adults than mice of the same age that were not exposed in-utero to any EMR at all. THIS IS KNOWN SCIENCE! In China pregnant mothers are required by law to wear protective clothing over the womb for the entire duration of their pregnancy to deflect EMR and protect the growing fetus from neurological damage through mobile phone radiation. (Source: Dr Dietrich Klinghardt)

Dr Klinghardt himself did a study comparing the EMR exposure -when asleep- during pregnancy of mothers who had given birth to autistic children with the EMR exposure -also when asleep- during pregnancy of mothers who gave birth to neurologically normal children, and without exception the mothers of the autistic children had been exposed to levels of EMR while asleep around 20 x higher than the mothers of neurologically normal children.

There are now thousands of independent, peer-reviewed studies that demonstrate how mobile phone radiation damages neurons –PARTICULARLY IN A CHILD’S DEVELOPING BRAIN – and is destroying the intelligence and neurological stability of an entire generation. According to Dr Stephanie Seneff, leading researcher at MIT, if the current increase in neurological damage continues, 1 child in 2 will be on the autistic spectrum by 2025 - in 5 years.

What can we do?
- Minimize mobile phone use, particularly among children - and never hold a phone against your ear.
- Unplug the Wifi entirely at night and ideally do not use Wifi at all, instead wire your home with Ethernet and use an old-fashioned landline.

What about 5G? Unfortunately the experts unanimously agree that no matter how worrying the harmful health effects we have already seen from 3G and 4G, 5G will be much, much worse. Look out for our article on 5G for more details or take a look at some of the following links:

SLIM THE HEALTHY WAY

Want to lose weight easily even in Winter? Here's how:

1. Go to bed early and get your Winter beauty sleep: 8 hours minimum! Animals hibernate in Winter and with less sunshine and Vitamin D around even humans need more sleep. Guess what, we lose weight most efficiently when we get enough sleep: by lowering stress hormones and boosting growth hormone, more sleep in Winter means a slimmer, even more beautiful you!

2. Bounce out of bed and go for a brisk walk or run or do 10 mins of HIIT as soon as you get up. Then gently awake your digestion with a high-antioxidant Protein Shake.

Proteins are the building blocks of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood. Protein is a MACRO-nutrient meaning we need an appropriate amount for our body every day. Proteins are essential for our bodies ability to build and repair tissue. Your body needs proteins to make enzymes, hormones and other body chemicals.

A 2018 meta-analysis of 49 studies supports the use of protein for building muscle. The research suggests that protein supplements significantly improve muscle size and strength in healthy adults who perform resistance exercise training, such as lifting weights.

Protein supplementation was equally effective in men and women. However, the effectiveness may decrease with age, as older adults actually have higher protein requirements than younger people, given that they often absorb it less effectively. So starting every day with a highly bioavailable protein shake may bring even more benefit when we are older.

After exercise a protein shake can also speed up recovery by reducing muscle damage and improving muscle performance and muscle protein synthesis.

The recommended daily intake of protein for people aged 19 years and over is 46 g for women and 56 g for men.

Protect our Oceans

I am thrilled to announce that DANIELE de WINTER is now official skincare supplier for TAF The Animal Fund - a wonderful environmental charity that works tirelessly to educate people on the importance of reducing plastic waste, protecting whales and dolphins and understanding the surprising importance of these magnificent creatures.

  • Whales are the fertilizers of the ocean and their poo is the main food source for phytoplankton. Plankton is the foundation of the entire marine ecosystem and it needs Whales in order to grow. The more whales in any part of the ocean, the more plankton and the greater the marine biodiversity. We need more whales and more plankton for our marine ecosystem to regenerate and to survive.
  • Besides, amazingly between 70%-85% of the oxygen in our atmosphere is also produced by marine plankton. As plankton needs whale poo to grow, whales are more important for our survival than anyone could have imagined (source: David Attenborough)!
  • At the moment the oceans and the wales that maintain it are however choking with plastic, and we all need to do our bit to reduce plastic waste NOW.

 

You can do your bit by:

a) using a reusable water bottle and reusable coffee cup and stoutly refusing to buy water in plastic bottles or coffee in disposable cups ;

b) always carrying a couple of hemp or linen shopping bags so you never need to use plastic bags;

c) buying seasonal fruit and vegetables from local markets so you do not buy any produce wrapped in plastic.

d) Religiously picking up any plastic waste you see on the roadside and disposing of it carefully in a plastic recycling bin.

e) Consider writing to your local MP to ask them to read up on the surprisingly enormous importance of whales and then to lobby the Governments of Japan, Norway, Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands, the only 5 countries that still kill whales, to ask them to stop.

MONACO BEAUTY BREAKFAST

Hey beauty lovers! Start the day with a big smile and a protein, good Omega 3 fat & chlorophyll rich breakfast! Seared tuna salad is super easy to make in 7 mins (recipe below) and sets your skin, endocrine system (hormones) and energy levels up for the day.

For anyone in doubt (..."fish for breakfast, euuuu") here are a couple of cool reasons to make the switch:

- According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, people who eat a high-protein breakfast feel fuller and more satisfied throughout the day, they snack less and above all eat significantly less junk food.

- This could be linked to the fact that a high-protein meal reduces the production of the appetite hormone Ghrelin, which stimulates hunger.

- Another study found that people who eat breakfast, and in particular a high-protein breakfast, consume fewer calories throughout the day.

- Including abundant healthy fat (fatty fish, grassfed livestock, organic eggs, coconut oil, avocados, raw nuts) with breakfast kickstarts your hormones, as hormones are transported around our body by cholesterol, best made from animal fat.

- As hormones (testosterone, cortisol, thyroid serotonin etc) regulate every single body function, keeping them at optimum levels is simply good sense - and is a very effective method to help stay young & gorgeous.

SEARED TUNA SALAD
Serves 2

1 large fresh tuna steak
Organic, cold-pressed coconut oil
Capers
1/2 a fresh lime

1 organic onion (chopped) 
1 bunch organic parsley (washed & chopped)   
1 organic lettuce
3 organic baby tomatos
 

Directions
Heat a Tbls of coconut oil in a pan over a high heat and add the tuna steak. Sear for 1 minute on each side leaving the inside raw. Salt abundantly on both sides while searing.
Then pull pan off heat and add 1/2 of the chopped onion & a Tbls of capers with juice, leave to absorb.

Mix chopped parsley, salad, sliced baby tonatoes and remainder of chopped onion in a bowl and season with olive oil, balsamico vinegar, salt & pepper. Divide onto 2 plates.

Remove tuna from pan and slice into 1cm wide slices on a chopping board. Then arrange over salad, spoon over remaining onion & caper mix and add a squeeze of fresh lime.

For extra sustenance, add a handful of mixed raw nuts or sprinkle with a Tbls of sesame seeds.

Serve and enjoy!
 

 

 

CELEBRATE GLOBAL WELLNESS DAY!

Global Wellness Day takes place Saturday, 11 June, and celebrations are happening in more than 4000 establishments and 100 countries, offering free “feel good” workshops and animations to reach more than 250 million people. Here is a look at some of the great ways people are celebrating wellness around the world.

Monaco
In Monaco STARSNBARS has joined Global Wellness Day Ambassador Nicholas Khan and more than a dozen local volunteers to offer a full day’s program of dance, massage, Pilates, laughter therapy, nutrition advice, kid's yoga, meditation, stress management, hypnosis, reiki and mindfulness.

Spain
Activities across Spain include Dive Zen (yoga and meditation underwater) in the Canary Islands, swing dance on the streets of Zaragoza, meditation inside an old mine, a hike in the Pyrenees with wine and oil tasting, free massages at the airport in Madrid, kids yoga and more.

Turkey
The birthplace of Global Wellness Day, Turkey will be celebrating the event in Istanbul, as 10,000 people are expected to gather in KüçükÇiftlik Park for events including wellness and nutrition experts, breathing therapies, yoga, pilates, sports activities and zumba, as well as a section for children including dance, sports and recreational activities.

Russia
In Sokolniki Park in Moscow, up to 50,000 people are expected to take place in group activities including aerobics, taebo, gymnastics, yoga, Zumba, healing dances and more. The event will also see open massage classes and treatments, counseling for young mothers, lectures on healthy eating, bath rituals and the psychology of wellbeing. A jogging race for mothers with kids and a bicycle race round out the activities.

Lebanon
With the support of the ministry of public health, Lebanon is celebrating at the Edde Sands Hotel & Wellness Resort in Jbeil. Activities include Zumba, aqua gym, acro yoga, and sunset walks on the beach, as well as express nutrition consultations, wellness for children, life coaching, a granola station and juice bar.

The Netherlands
In Amsterdam, the day will start with a live stream “Dance for Health” featuring the National Opera and Ballet of Amsterdam, and continue with inspirational speakers addressing topics such as consciousness, heart health and building a well world.

Greece
Yoga, pilates, fitness and dance classes, as well as an agility ladder, pranic healing therapy, on-site massage and shiatsu, and advice from nutritionists.

Croatia
Free Les Mills classes, rock-climbing trials, a beach volleyball tournament, “Trail of the Dolphins” hiking tour and sundown yoga.

Saudi Arabia
This is the first year Saudi Arabia is taking part in GWD, which coincides with the fasting month of Ramadan – itself billed as a manifest of wellness that allows the body to detoxify itself. In Jeddah, the mayor’s office is sponsoring one of the city’s biggest walkways and urging residents to jog during Ramadan for maximum strengthening while fasting. The initiative is targeting some of the area’s biggest social media influencers, with an expected reach of more than 700,000 people.

Singapore
In Singapore, fitness workshops, wellness talks and children’s workshops will take place on 11 June, with a particularly impressive lineup of activities for kids, including yoga-nastics, Bollywood and jazz dance, mindfulness meditations, clay bank making, and story time.

United Arab Emirates
In Dubai, the Shangri-La hotel is celebrating by offering free yoga sessions, special spa offerings and a day of pampering for the children of the UAE Down Syndrome Association. Children will learn from experienced therapists how to mix their own homemade body and facial products, using natural ingredients like chocolate, strawberries and oranges, and they’ll also enjoy mini-facials and hand and foot scrubs. Children and their families will also enjoy food from the hotel’s Rooted In Nature menu, which features organic ingredients.

France
In Caen, Normandy, Le Grande Run (The Big Run) will take place over the weekend, and will include a marathon, 10k and 20k, as well as an exhibition hall with lots of sports federations encouraging people to be more active. Attendance is expected to be in the thousands. In Royan, 420 people will run a 42km relay marathon, with each person running 100 metres. And CIDESCO school Ecole Privee d’esthetique will open its doors for the public to benefit from free massages performed by students.

Latvia
In Dzintari Mezapark, Jurmula, a GWD celebration will include yoga, TRX, body art, dance, aqua bike, massage, meditation, wellness diagnostics, activities and entertainment for children and a concert performance by Nataly Tumsevica.

Cyprus
The President of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, has become the first president to officially support Global Wellness Day, and a day-long celebration will take place in Limassol, which will include 2.5 hours of Les Mills classes, followed by a concert from The Coop Band.

USA - Arizona
At Sedona Golf Resort in Arizona, an integrative fitness and wellness golf tournament combines activities such as tai chi, yoga, kettlebells, mountain biking and zumba throughout the resort’s famed golf course.

USA - Miami
In Florida, the Miami Institute for Age Management and Intervention will bring guest speaker Dr Adonis Maiquez to the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne to speak about anti-ageing tips, followed by an hour-long cardio beach hike to the historic Cape Florida Lighthouse.

USA - Texas
In Texas, guests at the Four Seasons Hotel Austin will be invited to gather on the back lawn to partake in some informal pet therapy. For three hours, guests will frolic with puppies provided by the Austin Humane Society. A three-mile guided walk/run around Lady Bird Lake will also take place.
